Help & privacy
Privacy policy
In short: Our Father does not collect any information about you. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. What you write and save stays on your iPhone, and in your own private iCloud if you use it.
What the app keeps for you
The app keeps the following so it can work for you:
- Your prayer journal entries, intentions and gratitude notes
- Verses you save and the notes you write on them
- The days you prayed, for your days-of-prayer count
- Where you are in the Rosary or a reflection, so you can continue later
- Your settings, such as text size, speaking pace and reminder time
This information is stored in the app’s private storage and protected by iOS data protection. It is never sent to us.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, your journal, saved verses, verse notes and days of prayer are also kept in your private iCloud database, so they appear on your other devices and come back if you reinstall the app. Only you can read that database; we cannot see it. This uses Apple’s iCloud under your Apple ID and Apple’s terms. To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for Our Father in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud.
Daily reflections and third parties
The prayers, Scripture and Rosary narration are built into the app and work offline. Each day’s new reflection is downloaded as a plain file from our file host, Cloudflare, ahead of time. That download carries nothing about you: no account, no identifier and nothing you have written. Like any web server, Cloudflare may briefly log technical details such as an IP address. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and no one else receives information through the app. Nothing you write is sent to an AI service.
Subscriptions
Our Father Premium is sold through Apple. Apple processes the payment, the free trial and renewals under your Apple ID, and tells the app only whether your subscription is active. We never see your name, email, card or payment details.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, iOS schedules it on your iPhone at the time you choose. No server is involved. You can turn it off in the app’s settings or in iOS Settings at any time.
Deleting your information
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete all my data to erase your journal, notes, saved verses and progress, including the copies in your iCloud. Deleting the app removes what is on your iPhone; anything in your iCloud can also be removed in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage.
Children
Our Father is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes how it handles information, this page will be updated before that change is released, with a new effective date.

Help & support
How do I continue a Rosary I didn’t finish?
Close the player with the arrow at the top and your place is saved. On the Home or Rosary screen, tap Continue praying to pick up at the same prayer.
Can I pray the responses myself?
Yes. On the Rosary screen, set The voice prays to Leads. The narrator prays the first half of each prayer and leaves a silence, shown in gold, for your response.
The narration is too fast or too slow.
Open Settings from the person icon on the Home screen and choose a Speaking pace. In a reflection you can also tap the 1× button to change the pace.
I don’t hear any sound.
Check that your iPhone is not on silent and the volume is up. The narration plays as spoken audio, so it also works with headphones and with the screen locked.
How do I make the text bigger?
Open Settings and choose a Text size, or tap the size button at the top of the Bible reader. The app also follows your iPhone’s text size setting.
How do I change or turn off the daily reminder?
Open Settings and use Remind me to pray. If reminders never arrive, check iOS Settings › Notifications › Our Father.
How do I cancel my subscription or free trial?
Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Our Father. Cancel at least a day before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. You can also open this from the app: Settings › Manage subscription.
I subscribed, but the app asks me again.
On the subscription screen, tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
How do days of prayer work?
A day counts when you listen to a reflection, pray the Rosary or write in your journal. If you miss a day, a grace day covers it, one in any week, so your count carries on.
Which Bible translation does the app use?
The World English Bible, Catholic Edition, which is in the public domain. It includes the deuterocanonical books.
Can I move my journal to a new iPhone?
Yes. If you are signed in to iCloud, your journal, saved verses and days of prayer sync automatically. Install Our Father on the new iPhone with the same Apple ID and they appear after a moment.
